Placeholder draft, not final

This policy is placeholder text written for review. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and it is not legal advice. District Church should replace it with a policy approved by its own counsel before this site launches.

Last updated: to be set when the final policy is published.

The short version

This site does not track you. A few tools store what they need to work.

District Church sets no cookies of its own here. The video player and the chat widget can store small amounts of data so they work properly. Our forms and giving pages live on other sites, and those set their own cookies once you go there.

The tools involved

Every service here is one this site actually loads or links to.

Our web host

Vercel serves this site. A host may set a cookie it needs to deliver and secure the page. That kind of cookie is not used to track you.

The video player

Sermon video comes from Mux. The player can store your volume and quality choices in your browser so it remembers them, and it reports playback data to Mux.

The chat widget

When the church has Gleap turned on, the widget can store an identifier in your browser so a conversation you start picks up where it left off.

Church Center and Overflow

Our forms and our giving pages are separate sites run by Planning Center and Overflow. They set their own cookies under their own policies. That starts when you follow a link to them, not while you are here.

The policy in full

The detail behind the short version, section by section.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some tools store data in your browser in other ways, such as local storage. This page covers both.

What this site sets on its own

Nothing. District Church does not run advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or tracking pixels on this site, and the site itself stores nothing in your browser to follow you around.

The only things that can be stored come from the tools listed above, and only when you use the feature they belong to.

What we do not do

We do not sell browsing data. We do not run ad networks here. We do not track you across other websites.

Our fonts are packaged with the site and served from this domain, so opening a page does not call a font provider.

Your choices

Your browser can block or clear cookies and site data. Every major browser has this under its privacy or site settings.

Blocking everything is fine for reading the site. It can stop the video player from remembering your settings, and it can stop the chat widget from keeping your conversation.

Changes to this policy

If we add a tool that stores something in your browser, we will list it here and update the date at the top.

For the fuller picture of what we collect and where it goes, read our Privacy Policy.
