Every child in Haven is paired with a trained volunteer, and we keep that pairing consistent. Familiarity is the whole strategy: the same face, week after week, until it is not a new place anymore.

We are not going to pretend that never happens here — but it is the thing Haven exists to stop. Your kid is not a disruption to the morning. They are part of the church that morning is for.
Three things, every week, whoever is serving.

A dedicated space with a lower sensory load than the main kids environment, so a child who needs quieter can have quieter without being taken out of the building.
You get to sit in a service. That is not a small thing. For a lot of families it is the first hour in a week that belongs to them.

Send us what we should know — what helps, what sets them off, how they communicate, whether they need a buddy the whole time or only for the loud parts. You are not filing paperwork or being assessed. You are telling a team who wants to get it right the first time, so nobody has to figure it out while your kid is standing there.
Haven runs on volunteers who show up for the same kid every week.
You do not need a background in special education. You need to be consistent, and you need to be willing to learn one specific kid. The team trains you and you are never alone in the room.
