District Church runs this site. This page says what we do with what you share.
We collect what you hand us, we use it to follow up with you, and we do not sell it. A few outside tools do the actual work of forms, giving, and video. They are named below.
Every service here is one this site actually calls. Nothing else.
Our connect card, group signups, team signups, registrations, and calendar all live at districtchurch.churchcenter.com. What you type into one of those forms goes to Planning Center, where the church staff works with it.
Online giving runs at donate.overflow.co. You enter payment details on Overflow’s site, not on ours. We receive the record of the gift, not your card or bank credentials.
Sermon video and the livestream are hosted and streamed by Mux. When you play a video, your browser requests it from Mux and the player reports playback data back to Mux.
A chat and feedback widget. It loads only when the church has it turned on. When it is on, the messages you type into it go to Gleap so we can read and answer them.
The content system behind this site. Sermons, series, events, and the prayer wall entries you see here are served from Kitestring.
Our web host. Like any host, it keeps standard server logs of requests made to the site.
Some pictures load from other servers: event images from Planning Center, and some video thumbnails from YouTube’s image servers. Loading one of those images tells that server your browser made the request.
Our fonts are packaged with the site and served from this domain, so opening a page here does not call a font provider.
The detail behind the short version, section by section.
You give us information when you fill out a form, share a prayer request, start a chat with us, or make a gift. That usually means your name, your email address, your phone number, and whatever you choose to write.
Our host keeps ordinary web server logs. Those records include your IP address, your browser type, and the pages you opened.
We do not ask for information we do not need. Most of this site works fine without you giving us anything.
We use it to answer you, to help you find a group, a team, or an event, and to keep records of gifts.
We do not sell your information. We share it with the tools above only so they can do the job they are there for, and with anyone the law requires us to.
A prayer request is personal, so treat it as read by our prayer team. Share only what you are willing for them to carry.
Requests shown on the prayer wall are ones the church has published there. If you want a request kept off the wall, or taken down after the fact, tell us and we will handle it.
Gifts are processed by Overflow. Your payment details are entered on Overflow’s site and handled under Overflow’s terms.
The church keeps giving records for its own accounting and for the giving statements it sends you.
We do not knowingly collect information from children through this website. Kids and student registrations are meant to be completed by a parent or guardian through Church Center.
If you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Form submissions stay in Planning Center under the settings the church sets there. Giving records are kept as long as the church needs them for its accounting and reporting.
Ask us to delete something and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will take care of it.
California residents have rights under California privacy law. Contact us and we will honor the ones that apply to you.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in the email.
This site is served over HTTPS. The tools above hold their own copies of your data and secure them under their own terms.
No system is perfect, so we will not promise one is.
Several buttons here send you to Church Center, Overflow, or our social accounts. Once you leave this site, their policies apply instead of this one.
When what we do changes, we will change this page and update the date at the top.
Ask us anything about what we hold, or tell us to delete it. A real person reads this inbox.
