Most kids who quit church quit somewhere around here, and nobody notices until they are in high school.
A 10-year-old can tell when they are being handed a craft to keep them busy. If the last thing church asked of them was a colouring page, they will file it with the rest of the things they outgrew. So D45 moves the other way: harder questions, actual responsibility, and leaders who talk to them like people. We are not trying to fill seats. We are trying to raise big people.

This is the age where the questions get sharp — is any of this true, why does God let things happen. We would rather they ask here than decide on their own that nobody had an answer.
D45 kids help run things: tech, welcome, setup, the younger rooms. Discipleship by Doing starts earlier than most people think — you grow by doing, not by listening.
D45 hands off to SIX78, and we make that handoff on purpose.
At the end of 5th grade a kid moves up to SIX78, middle school, on Wednesday nights. Leaders walk that transition with them rather than leaving a summer-sized gap where a kid quietly stops coming. Check-in, safety and background-checked volunteers work exactly as they do across Kids District.
Check-in takes a few minutes and a leader will walk them in. You will find us at 7000 Rossmore Lane.
