It is the one class we would point almost anyone toward. GRIT is for people who want to call District Church home and would like to know what they are actually joining before they say so.
Membership here is not a card in a wallet. It is framed as time, talents and treasures — what you can give of your week, what you are already good at, and what you can give financially.
The class covers what District believes, how it is structured, where the money goes, and what is expected of a member and what is not.
It runs as a one-time class rather than a series. Registration is through Church Center, and coming to GRIT commits you to nothing beyond the class itself.
I ran out of ways to hold it together. That turned out to be the good news.
